Starting today and in the next few blog entries, I will tackle a mind-blogging blog entry that will affect the decision of the lives of many job hunters out there: "Whether or not to apply for an office work of a nine-to-five schedule, or simply put up a home-based office to do the office work." Now, isn't that confusing? Let's see what do these types of work can offer.
The Office Job
Most office job opportunities today require much of your time, energy, intelligence and effort to do a day's work. You are being under supervision through your immediate supervisor or your boss. You always waste your time traveling from one place to another. Yet you meet a certain number of people that will eventually becomes your friend/s. Pressure, stress, and anxiety are some of the things that you might acquire from working just to have a full day's salary (which is by the way, sometimes an underpaid one) or on overtime.
The Home-Based Job
Home-based job opportunities are sometimes the exact opposite of what were mentioned above. You are the boss of your own time (but sometimes this is not true, especially when you are working as a freelance). You don't have to deal with pressure, stress and anxiety because you can always rest anytime you feel these things. You stay at home and do whatever you want to do (e.g., watch TV while working on a template, surf the internet nonstop, clean the house, cook while thinking ideas, etc.). But sadly, at the end of the day, you only deal with yourself. But the good news is, you don't have to worry about getting home late or getting stranded while traveling home or perhaps getting tired and restless at night because you are at the comfort of your own home.
These are some of the descriptions that an office job and a home-based can offer. More of these descriptions and point-by-point analyses with some advantages and disadvantages on the next few blog entries, better watch out for that!
For the mean time, which one will you prefer — a job in the office OR a home-based job? THINK. THINK HARD. It's for your own good!!!
